A household refrigerator will store food and drinks at the optimal temperature, in order to stop rotting and stop harmful bacteria. The cycle of refrigeration starts by moving the warmth from inside of the appliance to the exterior, using principles of evaporation and condensation.

The refrigerator compressor is a combination of a pump and a motor, and it is necessary for circulation of refrigerant throughout the system.
The compressor is a very important part of a refrigerator. You should hire a professional service if the compressor is no longer working.

A condenser is found on the back outside panel of the appliance and is there to release the heat absorbed from inside the refrigerator then out to the surrounding air.

The refrigerator evaporator is installed on the interior of a refrigerator where absorbs heat trapped inside of it, effectively lowering the interior temperature.

Right when the evaporator isn’t working, it’s time to find a professional. Don’t wait too long.

Expansion Device

Liquified coolant is transported within a capillary tube that acts as an expansion tool as it cools the gas inside, thereby turning the gas back into liquid.

The thermostat helps regulate the temperature in the interior of the refrigerator, engaging a new cooling period as required.

The thermostat inside of a refrigerator is often prone to issues. Troubleshoot and hire a technician in Warwick for repair right after a problem happens.

How Does Refrigeration Work?

1. Right when the temperature within a refrigerator rises above the set point sensors notify the refrigerator compressor to start, and then the cool down starts. The unit draws in the cold liquid refrigerant, then condenses and pressurizes the refrigerant, and increases the temperature, so it can turn into a gas.

2. The refrigerator compressor directs the hot gas towards the condenser coils on the rear of the refrigerator, at which point it comes in contact with the lower temperature in the room and returns to a liquified state.

3. The cool liquified gas then continues its journey towards the evaporator component, finding its way through the many coils on the inside of the refrigerator and freezer.

4. The refrigerant then absorbs the hot air from the interior of the appliance, reducing the temperature until it has reached the optimal final point.

5. The coolant then will evaporate, and turns back to a gas, and returns to the compressor so it can continue the cooling cycle.

Refrigeration is often used in several applications and appliances, this includes heat pumps, air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers. By removing heat from one area and relocating it to a different one the cycle of refrigeration contributes in cooling a house, creates a safe space for food that is perishable, and helps with manufacturing and storage of a lot of different everyday products and materials.
